A straightforward 7kW wallbox installation typically runs $1,800–$2,800 supplied and installed. Pricing depends on your existing switchboard, cable run distance, and the brand of charger. We quote each job individually after a free site visit.
Most modern switchboards can — but it depends on capacity and existing loads. As part of every quote we check your switchboard, RCDs, and main supply. If a switchboard upgrade is needed we'll quote that upfront.
A 7kW (single-phase) charger adds about 40km of range per hour and is plenty for most NZ households. A 22kW (three-phase) charger is roughly three times faster but requires three-phase power to your home — common in newer rural builds, less common in older urban homes.
Yes — we install the official Tesla Wall Connector along with other major brands. We can also install universal Type 2 chargers that work with any EV.
Yes — most smart chargers we install support scheduling via app, so you can charge overnight on cheap off-peak power. We'll walk you through the app setup as part of the install.
