What does the price quoted here include?
We offer a complete quote end-to-end price that includes everything to ensure you are not surprised with any additional charges. That means the supply of the unit, the installation time & materials, the electrical certificate, and the travel. Note if we are unable to do a site visit before we install we can not guarantee the price as we have not seen it. Note also that a lot of installers do cheap prices either as estimates or add in variations onto the job after it is done costing you at times more than the price we quote (this has happened many times). We also often fix installations that have been done by unqualified or just plain bad tradesman. Our price is the price you pay and includes all warranties and guarantees.
A back to back heat pump installation includes the following items:- Pipe & cable between units- Outdoor electrical isolator- PVC Trunking 2 metres (to cover pipes)- PVC end cap x1- Drain piping for the indoor unit to expel excess water outside- Power cable to a max of 10 metres - A power source on the same wall as the heat pump (eg. a power point)- Electrical compliance certificate- Manufacturer’s warranty - usually 5 years with Rinnai being 6 years - Travel to within a 40km radius of Whangarei or KerikeriWhat is a back-to-back installation?
A back-to-back refers to the indoor unit of the heat pump being on the same wall/position as the outdoor. meaning that the pipework and power can do directly down the wall on the outside of the house from the outdoor unit. If we need to move the outdoor unit further way or around a corner it will not be a back-to-back installation and will incur additional cost to run pipes. We charge time and materials for anything additional. For example, it might take an additional hour of time and $100 worth of materials to run the pipework to where you want the outdoor unit to go.
What payment options do you provide for clients?
We offer bank transfer, credit card, and Interest Free via Q Card. We ask for a 50% deposit up front for a heat pump from our standard range, or the heat pump hardware cost (excluding install) if the heat pump is a special order item that can not be re-sold easily.
Do you have a guarantee?
We offer both product and service guarantees as well as all residential customers are covered by our Master Electricians $20k guarantee.- 5-6 year warranty on the hardware depending on brand- 5 year installation warranty from us
Do I need a site visit?
We prefer to see all sites before we install. That way we can give you a confirmed quote as to price, give you ideas on placement, and talk you through what size will work best. We also offer a varied range of units from our cheapest range from Rinnai, through to our mid-range priced Fujitsu, and up to our Mitsubishi Electric units.
